2.2021 ePOP Competition Winners Announcement

📅 Monday, September 6, 2021: 14H GMT

Then it's the big day! Live from the World Conservation Congress, which will be held exceptionally in France in a particularly important post-health pandemic context, members of the various Juries will unveil the names of the Winners for the four Prizes of the 2021 Edition of the ePOP Competition.

The announcement of the results will be conceived and organized in a participatory manner with the entire ePOP Network staff, the ePOPers who won the 2020 Competition Edition and numerous guests. The winners will be invited to appear on numerous RFI broadcasts and newspapers, as will ePOPers from all over the world, and of course, the event will be broadcast live on Facebook Live, so you can join in and lend your support!

While we await the 2022 edition, the exact dates of which will be announced in November, the ePOP community remains open to your productions! If you'd like to send us an ePOP video to alert the community to the environmental situation in your area, don't hesitate! You can even consult the tutorials that have been created to help you produce quality videos. The ePOP tutorials page is always available outside the competition.

1 winner
Invitation to France in 2021 for the World Conservation Congress (or other international event depending on health conditions)

Conditions of award: the video must deal with a theme directly related to the "Waters, Rivers and Oceans" theme.

It's a priority theme for the scientific community behind ePOP. This year, let's collect as many testimonials as possible on water issues. The winner will present his or her video at the World Conservation Congress, to be held in Marseille (France) in September 2021, or at another event on the international agenda.
YOUNG DIRECTOR'S AWARD

A refurbished Panasonic AG-HVX200E professional camera and accessories

Conditions of attribution: the person making the video must be a woman and no more than 25 years old on the day the video is submitted.

Despite a marked improvement in the number of female directors taking part in last year's ePOP competition, they are still under-represented among their male colleagues. ePOP is therefore once again committed to promoting female talent, and will be offering the winner of this year's award a professional camera to pursue her projects in the best possible conditions.
RFI Clubs Award

In partnership with RFI Clubs

Club RFI

1 winner
One-week masterclass in Paris (France) with RFI Club and ePOP teams

+ 5 ePOP Standard shooting kits (tripod, lapel microphone, USB key, reportage bag, T-shirt)

THE JURY

Still sponsored by Slammer/Director GRAND CORPS MALADE, the 2021 edition of the ePOP Contest features several juries made up of members from very different backgrounds. Because if the issue is universal, so is the commitment.

Scientists, media men and women, artists, creators, heads of Foundations or Associations, project leaders - each will bring their own sensibility to the table, with the aim of selecting together the most human videos.
